Tamiya 14058 Yamaha FZR750R Superbike OW01 1:12 Model Kit

Tamiya 1:12 Yamaha FZR750R Superbike OW01 (14058)

Reissued with new reference material, Tamiya brings back the 1:12 scale Yamaha FZR750R (OW01) – a legendary street-legal superbike derived directly from Yamaha’s endurance racing machines. First unveiled at the 1988 Paris Show, this limited-production motorcycle was based on the YZF750 racer that dominated the 1987 and 1988 Suzuka 8 Hours, blending cutting-edge racing technology with road-going performance. Only 1,000 machines were delivered worldwide, making it an icon of superbike history.

About the Bike

The FZR750R OW01 featured a 5-valve DOHC inline-4 engine with titanium connecting rods, enlarged intake and exhaust ports, and Yamaha’s EXUP (Exhaust Ultimate Power) system for outstanding performance. Its lateral “Deltabox” aluminium frame and swing-arm rear suspension gave it superb rigidity and weight savings, making it a true works-racer for the road.
